The Canterville Ghost

The Canterville Ghost is a short story by Oscar Wilde, first published in 1887. It is a comedy-horror story about an American family, the Otis family, who move into a haunted English mansion, Canterville Chase, and encounter the ghost of a nobleman, Sir Simon de Canterville. It is considered a classic of Victorian literature and has been adapted into numerous stage productions, films, and television shows.
