Crystal Energy: How To Harness The Power

I work with Crystals in the paranormal field and, over a series of articles, will be telling you all about the different methods employed, and how they might possibly be able to help you on a paranormal investigation. I will be looking at a variety of ways of working with crystals, and at their uses, including Pendulums, Protection, Crystal Gridding and Scrying, to name just a few. But first let’s have a quick overview of some of the science and theories that involve Crystal Power.

From ancient times crystals and minerals have been employed to help in many different ways, spiritually, emotionally, physically even psychologically. Having said this, it is another pseudoscience with very little scientific evidence to back these claims up. However, from a personal perspective, I can testify to the power these pretty little things actually have.

Crystal energy in modern life

In today’s world crystals are used in many ‘day to day’ ways, including in modern technology and in the industrial sphere.

For example, the quartz in your watch, controlling the time. The LCD display in your phone, and your TV. On the industrial front, Zeolites are used as a molecular sieve in the purification of water. Silicon is used in Solar Energy. And Diamond is used in drilling.

While these are pretty conventional uses there are some more interesting examples, including that fact that If you ‘squeeze’ certain crystals it creates a positive and negative force which allows electricity to flow through it effectively making a battery. This effect is called Piezoelectricity (also called the piezoelectric effect) and is the appearance of an electrical potential (a voltage, in other words) across the sides of a crystal when you subject it to mechanical stress (‘squeezing’ it). Bearing in mind this known scientific process, the theory can potentially translate over to humans, using the energy within crystals to interact with the electrical impulses within the body. The energy within the crystal works in a very subtle way, re-aligning energy within the body. However, even though this has not been proven, it doesn’t stop people from using crystals in this way, even if it’s only what science refers to as the ‘placebo effect’.

When it comes to the paranormal, we can use crystals to help to enhance the energy of either, the location, or our own psychic centres.

Stone Tape Theory Connection to Crystal Energy

There are more then 4000 different crystals forming minerals in the natural world. And each form is purported to have different energy properties and potentials, which all cause different effects. If you think of this in a geological way, the very ground of the location that you’re investigating may very well play an important part in the reason why a particular place is more active than another. This can also connect with the ‘stone tape theory’.

This is the notion that events get stored or recorded within the very fabric of the location. The is due to the electrical impulses that believed to be released through emotional or traumatic events, which, given the right circumstances, replay. However, this theory only really accounts for non-intelligent hauntings.

Science dismisses this theory in general as it does not accept that rocks can be used for data storage.

However, recent advances have allowed works such as Newton’s ‘Opticks a Treatise of the Reflexions, Refractions, Inflexions and Colours of Light’ to be stored on a Quartz disk using femtosecond laser pulses to write data in the 3D structure of quartz at the nanoscale.

So the possibility that Crystals can indeed store data in some form may not be as unlikely as previously thought!
